Subway fun

Soo, in Toronto, especially when heading downtown a lot of people use the subway. After my 8 am class and session at the gym I had to head down to my agency to discuss future plans/schedule with my two amazing agents (Norwayne & Sonja). As usual I took the subway had my blackberry in one hand and my ipod in the other. About half way from my stop a girl comes on. I didn't really think anything about it and then she came and sat beside me. She ended up writing a note on her phone and showing it to me. I looked at it and we continued a conversion through notes on our phones until my stop. While walking to the agency I thought about that whole situation and laughed at how society is developing. Instead of her just coming up to me and telling me what she thought of me, she decided to text her msg. I'm not gunna lie I continued with it and thought it was pretty interesting at the least.

I feel like society is losing their ability to communicate with each other due to the advancement of technology and it's crazy OR maybe it's just because their may need less courage to txt something than actually saying it? I'm not too sure what the answer is but I definetely noticed the changes in how we communicate with each other and I'm not too sure if it's necessarily a good thing.

Anyways the meeting with the agents went well, I feel really good about the way my modelling career is beginning to shape up.
Anyways should be heading to bed, got class in the A.M

Baddesst Chics!

I've gotta rep for Canada and say that my agency mate Renee Thompson is probably one of the baddest models out there! I also gotta give it up to Cassie Ventura, she could be MY official girl annnyydaay LOL! Just thought I'd even it out since I just did a post of my male role models gotta add some eye candy on here as well.

Role Models

So with me, especially concerning modelling, I'm always looking to improve myself. I am fairly new to this industry and there's alot that I love about it and at the same time there's alot of things I hate as well. Anyone that knows me knows I tend to be very competitive in a good way though. I'm always striving for perfection because I know that once you get comfortable the next dude is ready to take your spot! That's the truth by the way, I've seen it happen to people sooo many times in every industry, so consider this my warning ;). Anyways there's a couple dude's out in this industry that I truly respect and aspire to develop a similar career as theirs.

Andre Douglas (Wilhemina Models), Wendell Lissimore (Red Models NYC), Shawn Sutton (Red Models NYC)

Andre Douglas - Has been doing his thing for a minute & has booked some of the top campaigns in the industry; Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, DSquared and Levi's.

Wendell Lissimore - He's been around for a while too and he's forever improving. He's one of the only black dudes able to book work in the asian market. That's insane and homeboi does all the top shows during fashion week!

Shawn Sutton - Is one year deep in the industry and has done fairly well for himself since then. Booking some top runway shows during fashion week and I admire his drive for improvement as well. Dope dude!

Saturrrrdayy

Sooo, it's a saturday night and for everyone that knows me, I am usually getting ready to go out. Tonight is different, I wouldn't say that I'm a club hopper but I tend to go out pretty often. Moving to Toronto, there's aaallways some"ting" going down but this week/end I decided to keep it low key. I've been doing allllott of school work, exercising and just preparing for what's to come. I can't speak on anything yet BUT expect some new things to pop off real soon :).

Anyways last night, I hit up Studio 405 my boys photography studio to pick up some photos and catch up with the boys. Let me tell you that these guys are probably the dopest photographers in Toronto. Steve Carty, Jalani Morgan, Javier Lovera and Stanley Chiu. I've had the pleasure of working with them all except Javier but his work is RIDICULOUS period and they are all such cool guys. They have such a positive outlook on life and are just so real it's unbelievable.

Anyways, here are a couple photos I shot with them.

Enjoy

Back on the blog!

So, I'm back on the blog. I am going to use this blog as my way of expressing my thoughts, my goals and sharing my inspirations. Alot has changed and developed since last year, both personally and professionally. Some highlights include; learning alot more about myself, developing better relationships with my friends and family, leaving my previous agency and signing with NAM models in Toronto etc..

I'm gunna cut this blog short though, should be heading to bed, I've got to hit up the gym tomorrow before I head to school.
